Time to Get Organized February 13, 2010

I believe it is time for Grand Camp as well as all other camps to get organized. I once heard someone say that ANB/ANS is a sleeping giant, I believe this to be true. But before the organization can do anything we as a whole as well as individuals need to get organized. I think Grand Camp needs to pull the camps together. In my eyes Grand Camp is made up of individuals from other camps throughout Alaska, therefore they need to share information and keep all camps up to date on there doings. To apply for grants to organize and update all local camps history. As I see it all the camps are chapters in one book. The collection of chapters are gathered and put together at Grand Camp which is the holder and maker of the book. There should be no camps hurting financially or any other way. Grand Camp should make sure of this. Grand Camp could model after other organizations such as VFW which is similar, in the sense that there are many chapters throughout the country. As I get my thoughts together I will post more, but for now it is something to think about.

This post is for all those in Alaska Native Brotherhood and Alaska Native Sisterhood. It does not matter what Camp you belong to, if you apart of this organization then it is for you.
I encourage all to submit comments on the organization. How to better the organization, how can we make it better, all suggestions and opinions are welcome.
